Snap Shades Limited Warranty & Liability Disclaimer

LIMITED WARRANTY — 12 MONTHS

Snap Shades warrants this product to be free from defects in materials and workmanship for twelve (12) months from the date shown on proof of purchase. This warranty applies only to the original purchaser and only to products used, installed, and maintained in accordance with the accompanying Installation Manual.This warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser. Proof of purchase must match the customer name. Snap Shades reserves the right to request additional information or evidence to validate any warranty claim before approval.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY COVERS

  • Manufacturing defects in materials or workmanship
  • Stitching or fabric defects
  • Magnet failure to remain attached to frame due to normal use (magnets are taped to the steel frame and sewn within reinforced fabric channels)
  • Fitment issues when the product is installed as instructed, subject to Snap Shades being provided the opportunity to review installation photos, videos, or other requested evidence under our Fitment Guarantee. Fitment-related warranty claims must be reported within thirty (30) days of the original purchase date to qualify for coverage.

WHAT THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

This warranty does not cover damage or failure resulting from:

  • Improper installation
  • Use on incompatible, incorrect, or unlisted vehicle models
  • Misuse, abuse, or forceful handling
  • Operation of windows while shades are improperly installed or obstructing the window path
  • Use with damaged seals, or modified window assemblies
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Normal fading, discoloration, or cosmetic changes due to UV exposure or heat
  • Failure to inspect magnets, stitching, and seams before use
  • Excessive bending, twisting, or structural stress
  • Alterations, modifications, or non-Snap Shades components
  • Use in any manner not described in the Installation Manual
  • Loss or detachment of the shades for any reason, including loss occurring during driving, wind exposure, improper installation, unsecured attachment, magnet shift, or user handling. Lost shades are not eligible for warranty replacement.
  • Damage caused by use in commercial, rideshare, fleet, rental, or business environments
  • Injuries resulting from improper unfolding of the shade or from the spring-tensioned steel frame snapping open
  • Any claim where Snap Shades was not provided the opportunity to inspect photos, videos, or evidence of installation
  • Injuries or damage resulting from handling packaging materials, plastic bags, or small mounting accessories
  • Choking, ingestion, or injury caused by clips, mounting accessories, or any small parts
  • Any claims arising from failure to properly supervise children around packaging or small components
  • Rust, corrosion, oxidation, or discoloration of the steel frame or magnetic components due to moisture, humidity, condensation, or normal environmental exposure.
  • Damage caused by rust transfer or corrosion staining on the vehicle’s interior.

SOLE REMEDY

During the warranty period, Snap Shades will, at its discretion:

  • repair the product, or
  • replace the product, or
  • issue a refund of the original purchase price.

Proof of purchase is required. This warranty is limited to the product itself. Snap Shades is not responsible for uninstalling, reinstalling, shipping, or labor costs.

DISCLAIMER OF ADDITIONAL WARRANTIES

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • All implied warranties, including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose, are limited to the duration of this warranty.
  • No other express or implied warranties apply.

LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

Snap Shades shall not be liable for any consequential, incidental, or indirect damages, including but not limited to:

  • window motor damage
  • tint damage
  • scratches, obstruction, or glass strain
  • electrical, mechanical, or vehicle interior component failures
  • injuries arising from improper installation, misuse, or failure to follow instructions
  • the loss of any shade due to environmental pressure, vehicle aerodynamics, or any other conditions occurring while the vehicle is in motion, regardless of speed.
  • injuries arising from unfolding the shade, including injuries caused by the tensioned steel frame expanding or releasing unexpectedly.

The user assumes all risks associated with installation, handling, and operation of this product.

Driving with the window partially open is an optional use feature. Snap Shades shall not be liable for any damage, injury, loss, or detachment that occurs while driving with windows open, whether at or below 35 mph. The user assumes all risks associated with operating the vehicle with windows partially open while the shades are installed.

SAFETY & INSPECTION REQUIREMENT

Magnets are enclosed within reinforced fabric channels and taped to the internal steel frame. Users must inspect the product before each use, including:

  • stitching and seams
  • magnet positions
  • frame integrity
  • fabric condition

Shades must be installed in accordance with Snap Shades’ official instructions only. Use of third-party installation methods voids all warranties.

Do not use the product if any component appears loose, shifted, exposed, damaged, or excessively worn.
